The HeavenGames Code of Conduct is the big fat rule book for all of HG. If you break any of the rules, you will be issued with a warning and may be banned if it is a serious offence or you have broken the CoC before.

Here at SpH, we have a number of forums for different topics of discussion. These are explained below.

This is the forum where interesting news items can be posted and discussed. Only Staff members can post new topics here although everyone can comment on them. If you have a news story you have found, post it here. You will be credited for finding the news item when it is added by a staff member.

General Discussions or GD is for discussion about Spore that does not belong in any other forum. If you are not sure where your topic should go, it probably belongs here.

The Hive Mind is for discussion about the creators. You can also show off your own creations and admire others'. Be sure to read the separate Hive Mind FAQ for more information about The Hive Mind.

Spore Galactic Adventures or the GA forum is both GD and Hive Mind for the Galactic Adventures. Everything and Anything concerning the Galactic Adventures expansion pack should go here.

The Primordial Soup or the Soup (or PS if you want...) is the Off-Topic forum. Anything not related to Spore goes here. This includes forum games and the infamous LPW. LPW stands for Last Post Wins. Our LPW is called the Homeworld. This is the spam thread. Everything that you want to post, but doesn't warrant a separate thread, should go here. The person who gets the 2500th post gets to make the next LPW.

The Staff are the members that keep everything running smoothly. They have coloured names so that you can find them easily. The coloured names show what type of staff the staff is.
Cherubs
Cherubs are responsible for general moderation on their forums. They have moderation powers in forums where they moderate.
Our current cherubs are: Minos Yewman, Crue Knight and Skarr.
Angels
Angels are cherubs who have shown exceptional skill and dedication. Other than the change of colour, there's not much else other than more responsibilities that the administrators may give them.
SpH does not currently have any angels.
Seraphs
Seraphs are in charge of entire heavens. It is their job to coordinate the staff and manage site content. They have moderation powers across the entire site.
Spore Heaven's seraph is Yeebaagooon
The Forum Management Team
The FMT is responsible for controlling moderation across HG and helping out in emergencies. They also decide whether or not to unban a user. Unless they are seraphs, they will be coloured the same as Angels.
The current FMT members are: Crazed Ewok (Chair), Shelper and Shanks13.
HALOs
The HeavenGames Executive Committee or EXCO is in charge of the whole of HG. They have the final say in everything and control everything. Unless they are seraphs, they will be coloured the same as Angels.
The current HALOs are: Zen (CTO), Jayhawk (COO), Socvazius (CEO), Kester (Seraphs Director) and GillB
VIPs
VIPs are not actual staff members. They are representatives from game development companies that are registered on the forums. While there are no VIPs from EA on HG, feel free to talk to other VIPs about details of game development and how to break into the gaming industry.
All of the staff are easily available to discuss any aspect of the forums. See the Staff Page to see their email addresses. If you have a problem, do not hesitate to contact one of the staff, they're all very nice people (we don't bite!much...)
You may see members around with special titles under their name. These are custom titles. If you do not have a specific custom title, you will receive the default title for your user type on SpH. These will be different on different heavens.

THE FMT WILL NOT CHANGE YOUR NAME UPON REQUEST AT ANY TIME OTHER THAN NAME CHANGE DAY
Memes are things that are repeated time and time again all over the internet. Most of them aren't funny in the slightest. The longest lasting meme is rickroll. This involves someone posting a link which is supposed to lead somewhere cool, but actually leads to a music video of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley.
Other memes include "THIS IS SPPPAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!" and other annoying phrases.
Abbreviations:

Common terms:
Troll: A user who deliberately tries to start arguments and flame wars.
Flame War: An argument that degenerates into users insulting each other instead of having a proper debate.
Smurf: A second account belonging to the same user. There are several reasons someone might create a smurf, however, creating a smurf to evade a ban, help someone else to evade a ban or to try to damage the community, is against the CoC.
At SpH, we have annual elections for the post of Spore Heaven Prime Minister. Anyone can run and they are purely for fun. The elected Prime Minister and his party will be in power from 19/12 until 19/12 the following year. Our current PM is Baske.
The bird is Fwranvelica, SpH's mascot. Don't worry too much about the spelling, you'll pick it up. It was designed by Crue Knight for the SpH mascot competition and won. The other entries can be found here.
