Spore: Glactic Edition

The Galactic Edition of Spore is another name for the Collector's Edition of Spore. The Galactic Edition is the size of a large novel (like a medium sized Bible) with an awesome cover design. The cover is made of thick plastic with a similar feeling to it like that of a LEGO box, which is embossed with Spore Glyphics.
Inside the case is the Galactic Edition fold-out case which takes about 75% of the box. The 25% is the Art of Spore booklet and the National Geographic "How to Build a Better Being" DVD. Inside the fold-out, there is a CD case which features the Spore game, a DVD of the "Making of Spore", a fold-out Spore poster, and the premium 100-page "Galactic Handbook".
The "Making of Spore" DVD, like most other "making of" DVDs, gives a behind-the-scenes view of what the producers had to go through to design and produce Spore starting from the thought of Spore to the finished game release. The "Galactic Handbook" is a detailed Spore manual with details on how each stage works including charts of traits, abilities, and so on.
The other section of the box is the "Art of Spore", the hardback mini-book. This book has 5 chapters for the 5 stages in Spore filled with 124 pages of colorful graphics featuring the first drawings of Spore ideas to the finished creatures, buildings, and vehicles.
And finally, what completes the Galactic Edition is a thin Spore CD sleeve carrying the National Geographic, "How to Build a Better Being" DVD. This DVD is a National Geographic documentary featuring the Spore game as they follow Will Wright with his quest to learn more about mutations and evolution to reflect in the content the game.
The Galactic Edition is an awesome little box to add to any game collection.
